Since 1958, George’s Subs and Pizza has been a real favorite with the locals in Carlisle, PA. In fact, Carlisle kids had the good fortune of growing up with the uniquely different “New England Style” subs that were George’s trademark. To know them is to love them… forever. Kids grow up and move away but when they come back to visit, many still make a beeline for a George’s Sub!

For this kid growing up in the sixties, good grades on my report card meant a reward from George’s Subs and Pizza. Through the years the walls of the restaurant filled with photos of George’s patrons. Here and there on the photo wall can be seen a famous face who somehow found their way to this Carlisle landmark, but mostly they are just locals. The ones who come back again and again and have left their mark.
